Prof Stephan Baumgartner

Born in Munich, Germany in 1965, Prof Baumgartner holds a Master in Experimental Physics (University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland), a Research Fellowship at the Dept. for Mathematics and Astronomy (Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland), as well as a PhD in Environmental Sciences (Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland) and Post-Doc in the Dept. for Environmental Physics (EAWAG Aquatic Research, Dübendorf, Switzerland). 

Since 1996 Stephan has been a Senior Research Scientist in the Dept. for Basic Research (50% at the Hiscia Research Institute of the Society for Cancer Research, Arlesheim, Switzerland, as well as 50% at the Institute of Complementary Medicine IKOM, University of Bern, Bern, Switzerland). He has lectured at the University of Bern since 2009.

Stephan was awarded a Professorship from the University of Witten/Herdecke in March 2023.
